LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Blue Springs South’s (Mo.) Ella Carmack and Chillicothe’s (Mo.) Landry Marsh garnered the latest GameChanger/NFCA Fall High School National Player and Pitcher of the Week honors of the 2026 season, the Association announced on Monday.
Shortstop Carmack gives the (19-12) Jaguars their second middle infield honoree in the past two weeks, following senior second baseman Riley Hollister’s recognition last Monday. Carmack set the school single-season home run record (15) in Friday’s 10-1 win over Smith-Cotton despite limited chances to actually hit in Blue Springs South’s two contests.
The Texas A&M commit was walked five times over that span, including three times intentionally, to extend her school walks record for the season to 24. The Jaguars play undefeated Grain Valley (29-0) — the No. 5 team in the GameChanger/NFCA Summer-Fall High School Top 25 Coaches Poll — for the Class 5, District 7 championship today.
Meanwhile, this is the second award of the season for Marsh, who was previously Pitcher of the Week on Sept. 14. The senior right-hander went 2-0 for the ninth-ranked (29-2) Hornets, who face Centralia in a Class 3, District 4 playoff game later today.
Marsh allowed just one hit in a pair of shutout victories over Trenton and Kirksville, while striking out 29 and walking only one over 13 innings.
