LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Riley Huckaby of Harris County High School (Ga.) was named MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week and is being recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of Sep. 4-10.
Over the course of six games, Huckaby hit .765 (13-for-17) with four doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI. She added seven runs scored, four walks, an .810 on-base percentage and 1.529 slugging percentage during a 5-1 week for the Tigers. In a 10-1 win against Hillgrove, Huckaby was a perfect 4-for-4 with a double, homer and five RBI. She also left the yard against East Coweta and North Paulding. Against East Coweta, Huckaby went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI. Additionally, she went 1-1 in the circle earning a win in relief versus North Paulding, tossing three innings of shutout relief and struck out four.

To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete's game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week’s award.
The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week is announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the fall season.
