LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kadence Shepherd of Blue Springs High School (Mo.) was named MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week and is being recognized for her outstanding performance during the week of Aug. 28-Sep. 3.
In two wins last week, Shepherd batted .857 (6-for-7) with a double, three home runs, nine RBI, five runs scored and a 2.285 slugging percentage. Shepherd was a perfect 4-for-4, launching two long balls, driving in six runs and scoring four times versus Lee’s Summit. She accounted for all of the offense in a 3-0 win over Platte County with a double, homer, three RBI and a run scored.

by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week’s award.
The MaxPreps/NFCA High School Player of the Week is announced on NFCA.org every Monday during the fall season.
