LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Longmeadow’s (Mass.) Isabella Blue, Jay County’s (Ind.) Hallie Schwieterman, John Marshall’s (W. Va.) Nora Shock, South Warren’s (Ky.) Layla Ogden and St. Michael’s (Ariz.) Denea Livingston captured the latest MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Spring Player of the Week awards of the 2026 season, the Association announced on Monday. They are being recognized for their outstanding play for the week of March 30-April 5.

Blue fanned 15 batters in an eight-inning four-hitter for the Lancers to earn East Region honors. She struck out 11 in a two-hit shutout of Pope Francis Prep last Monday and recorded four more strikeouts over two innings on Wednesday against Holyoke. Blue also helped herself at the plate, going 6-for-8 (.750) with four runs, a double and five runs batted in over the two victories.

In the North, Schwieterman had a huge week, going 10-for-10 with six home runs, two doubles, nine runs, 18 RBI and a 3.000 slugging percentage in just two games for the Patriots. The junior homered for three of her four hits against Coldwater and hit three more homers and added two doubles versus Winchester Community.

Shock was the leader in the South Region, hitting .727 (8-for-11) with eight runs, two doubles, a triple, a homer and four RBI. The junior had three hits twice and scored four runs in each of those two games.

South Central honors went to dual-threat Ogden, who collected five wins in the circle and hit .575 at the plate in a busy 10-game week for the Spartans. The senior hit six homers and drove in 26 runs on offense, while fanning 28 and allowing just one unearned run across four shutouts and 21 innings on defense.

Livingston garnered West Region recognition after a big week for the Cardinals. The senior went 10-for-10 with 12 runs, two doubles, six homers, 16 RBI and four walks. She collected four RBI and at least two extra-base hits in every one of her four contests, and also dominated in the circle, twice striking out 10 batters.
