LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association is proud to announce the 2016 High School All-Region teams. Overall, 160 student-athletes from 107 institutions were selected to first and second squads from the East, North, South, South Central, and West regions.
2016 NFCA High School All-Region Teams
Pearland High School of Texas (South Central) garnered the most representatives with five, three making the first team. Immaculate Heart Academy (IHA) of New Jersey (East), Eagle High School of Idaho (West), and Oaks Christian School of California (West) garnered four apiece. All four of IAH's players were selected to the first team. Bishop O’Connell (VA) High School (South) brought home three first-team honors as well.
The Gatorade State Players of the Year from Alabama, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Texas were named to their respective region’s teams.
The All-Region squads are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the five high school regions. The 2016 NFCA High School All-America teams will be announced on July 7 via NFCA.org.
