KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kathleen Daniel of Brenau (Ga.) has been named the NAIA National Softball Pitcher of the Week and Molly Carter of Columbia (Mo.) has been named the NAIA National Softball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Daniel and Carter were selected based on their performances from April 10 – 16, and were chosen out of a pool of conference, independent and unaffiliated group winners.
Softball Pitcher of the Week

Daniel went 3-0 with 0.00 ERA and 36 strikeouts in contests against Brewton-Parker (Ga.) and Middle Georgia State. Surrendered eight hits and did not walk a batter over 18.0 innings. She highlighted her week with an 11-strikeout performance in four innings against Brewton-Parker. For the season, she boasts a 35-2 record with a 0.45 ERA, 478 punchouts, a clip of 12.7 per seven innings pitched.
Softball Player of the Week
Molly Carter, Columbia (Mo.)

Carter keyed her squad to a 5-1 week against William Woods (Mo.), Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) and then-No. 19 Williams Baptist (Ark.).
• Had 20 at-bats, connecting for 13 hits, totaling 14 RBI’s on the week. She hit .650 (13-for-20) with three doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI. In game one against Hannibal-LaGrange shoe double, homered and knocked in four run. Carter set two single-season program records last week with 12 long balls and 69 RBI.
