LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association revealed 160 student-athletes, representing 66 programs, received 2023 NFCA NJCAA Division I & II All-Region accolades.
These awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s three regions in both NJCAA DI and DII with first- and second-team recognitions. NFCA member coaches from each region voted on the teams, and all honorees are now eligible for the 2023 NFCA NJCAA Division I & II All-America squads.
NJCAA DI All-Region | NJCAA DII All-Region
Odessa College (DI – West) and Louisburg College (DII – East) led the way with eight All-Region accolades apiece. Louisburg collected six first-team nods, while Odessa had four.
College of Southern Idaho (West) followed Odessa in Division I with six recognitions, two on the first team. In the Midwest, Grayson College topped all teams with five, while Indian Hills Community College nabbed four, all on the first team. Chattanooga State Community College and Florida SouthWestern State College paced the South Region with four accolades each, including a region-best three on the first team.
Also picking up four All-Region honors, two first teamers, in Division I was McLennan Community College.
In Division II, Murray State College (South) took home six plaudits with three on the first team. Jones College (South), which collected four overall honors, matched Murray State with three on the first team. Phoenix College also picked up four selections, two on the first team.
Catawba Valley Community College and Potomac State College from the East Region collected five and four accolades, respectively, with Potomac State leading the way with three-first-team plaudits.
In the Midwest Region, Parkland College and Rock Valley College each had four student-athletes recognized, while Des Moines Area Community College topped the region with all three of its awardees on the first team. RVC and Parkland had two and one on the first team, respectively.
NJCAA DI & II All-Americans, voted on by their respective All-America committees, will be announced on Friday, June 2.
