LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced 376 student-athletes from 160 programs have received 2024 NFCA Division I All-Region accolades.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA Division I All-America squads.

2024 Division I All-Region Teams

The Southeastern Conference’s 44 selections led the way, followed closely by the Pac-12 Conference with 37. The Big Ten Conference (35), Atlantic Coast Conference (32) and Big 12 Conference (32) rounded out the top five leagues. The Sun Belt Conference (19), Mountain West Conference (16), Coastal Athletic Association (13), Mid-American Conference (14) and American Athletic Conference (12) rounded out the top 10.

Also hitting the double-figure mark were Conference USA (11), Patriot League (11), BIG EAST Conference (10) and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (10). All 32 NCAA Division I conferences were represented.

Miami University (Mideast), Oklahoma (Central) and Oklahoma State (Midwest) led the way with all eight of their nominations receiving All-Region recognition with six first-team honorees apiece from the RedHawks and Sooners.

Boston University (Northeast) and Virginia Tech (Mid-Atlantic) topped the charts with all seven of their All-Region student-athletes collecting first-team plaudits. Joining the duo with seven all-region nods is Florida (Southeast), LSU (South) and Oregon (Pacific) with four, two, and one first-team selections, respectively.

Arizona (West), Marist (Northeast) and Texas A&M (South) each had six representatives. Coming in with five honors apiece were Arkansas (South), California (Pacific), Duke (Southeast), Florida State (Southeast), Louisiana (Central), No. 1 overall NCAA seed Texas (Central), UCLA (West) and Washington (Pacific). Of the above listed, the Wildcats, Razorbacks, Bruins, Bears, Blue Devils and Huskies had three first teamers. BYU (Midwest) joins the previously-mentioned group with three first-team selections as well.

Michigan, Minnesota and Saint Francis (Pa.) captured a Great Lakes Region-best four accolades with the Northwestern (3) and the Wolverines (2) as the lone programs with multiple student-athletes on the first team.

Conference players and pitchers of the year from member institutions (must be nominated by member head coach and receive votes) are added to the third team if they were not already voted to an All-Region squad. Additionally, in some instances, limited regional nominations prevented a position from being filled.

The 2024 NFCA Division I All-America teams, voted on by the NFCA DI All-American Committee, will be announced on Wednesday, May 29.
