LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 1 Oklahoma keeps on winning, while the teams below made some movement in this week’s 2023 USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Sooners (45-1) handled business with a sweep of Kansas, extending their win streak to 37 games and collecting their 11th consecutive Big 12 regular-season title and 15th overall. OU wraps up the season in Stillwater for Bedlam against No. 7 Oklahoma State.
No. 2 UCLA, No. 5 Texas (idle), Oklahoma State and No. 8 Duke stood pat. The Bruins (47-4) ran their winning streak to 20 games, following a 4-0 week, highlighted by a three-game sweep at then-No. 23 Utah.
The Cowgirls (41-9) took two-of-three at Texas Tech and in the process snapped a five-game slide, while the Blue Devils (43-8) slipped up in non-conference action at Longwood, before sweeping Pitt on the road in Atlantic Coast Conference action.
Florida State (43-8) leapfrogged Tennessee for the No. 3 after knocking off then-No. 13 Florida at home and taking all three from Notre Dame in South Bend. The Lady Vols (39-6) won the rubber game against the Gators (34-16) to start the week and split their opening two contests at No. 12 Arkansas.
Stanford catapulted up three spots to No. 6. The Cardinal (38-10) posted a 4-0 week with four road wins, one at Fresno and three more at Arizona State.
Washington moved up to No. 10, while Clemson dropped four positions to No. 10. The Huskies (35-10) picked up a pair of non-conference wins. The Tigers (45-8) dropped three-of-four last week on the road. Clemson was edged by Liberty, 5-4, before losing its ACC series at No. 21 Virginia Tech, grabbing a win in the series finale.
