LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UT Tyler continued its grip on the No. 1 spot as the first dozen teams remained the same in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Patriots (27-2), who collected 13 first-place votes, swept through another conference weekend to extend their win streak to 10 games.
The next four programs – Tampa (26-1), West Texas A&M (28-2), Angelo State (26-4) and Auburn Montgomery (18-6) – also enjoyed unblemished weeks going to a combined 16-0, each sweeping their respective conference series or doubleheader. The second-ranked Spartans, who own the longest active win streak in Division II (22 games), additionally picked up two more non-conference home wins versus Caldwell.
No. 6 Rogers State (20-5), No. 7 Francis Marion (23-3) and t-No. 8 Augustana (17-5) also suffered one defeat last week. The first two fell in conference action on the road with the seventh-ranked Patriots having their 17-game win streak snapped at Barton, while the Vikings went 5-1 last week.
The only minor change in the rankings is North Georgia moving into a tie with Augustana at No. 8. The NightHawks (24-4) are riding a 17-game win streak after a 5-0 week which included three shutouts and a 38-4 margin of victory.
Making the biggest moves this week were No. 17 Tusculum and No. 19 Nova Southeastern. The Pioneers (29-1) continue their historic start to their season as they still lead all three NCAA Divisions with 29 victories. The Sharks (24-8) make a return to the ranking after receiving votes last week.
Additionally, 2024 super regional participant Pittsburg State makes its 2025 debut at No. 25 after finishing the 2024 campaign ranked 14th.
