LOUISVILLE, Ky. – West Texas A&M secured its second straight unanimous No. 1 ranking in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Lady Buffs (29-3) collected four more Lone Star Conference victories to extend their win streak to 16 games.

WT notched a pair of run-rule wins at Lubbock Christian and followed with two triumphs at Midwestern State. The Lady Buffs scored 43 runs over those four games and have scored at least six runs, including reaching double digits nine times, during the win streak.

Cal State San Marcos remained in the two hole after a four-game CCAA sweep of San Francisco State, while fellow conference foe Cal State East Bay returned to No. 3 following league series win at then-No. 20 Cal State Monterey Bay.

Auburn University at Montgomery moved into the No. 4 spot and have won 10 straight. The Warhawks (26-4) picked up a midweek road win at Columbus State and returned home to sweep UAH in Gulf South Conference play. North Georgia (25-5) stayed put at No. 5 as it took a Peach Belt Conference series from Lander.

Saint Leo improved to No. 6 as it rattled off five more wins and have won 22 straight, the second longest active wins streak in Division II. The Lions (27-2-1) earned a twinbill sweep against Flagler and then took all three contests at Barry in Sunshine State Conference play.

No. 7 Pittsburg State (30-1) was one of three programs (No. 14 Colorado Christian and No. 21 Concordia) to reach the 30-win mark last week. The Gorillas, who own the top winning percentage in NCAA Division II (.968), climbed four more rungs up the ladder, following a pair of MIAA double sweeps on the road against Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.

Southern Arkansas fell a spot to No. 8 after it went 2-1 at home in its GAC series versus Southwestern Oklahoma State. No. 9 UIndy and No. 10 Angelo State stood pat and rounded out the top 10.

No. 11 Missouri Southern (27-5), plummeted eight spots after splitting both of their MIAA doubleheaders against Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.

The aforementioned Colorado Christian Cougars are 30-2 and own Division II’s longest active win streak at 26 games, which is also tied with Texas across the three NCAA divisions. The 21st-ranked Golden Eagles went 7-1 last week in PacWest action to move to 33-11.

New to the rankings this week is No. 22 Winona State and No. 23 Florida Tech. It marks the first ranking for the Warriors (25-4), who are on an eight-game win streak, since May 12, 2021. The Panthers (24-6-1) return this week after a 5-0 week.
