nfca/gorout dii top 25 coaches poll, nfca, GoRout, 2026 nfca/gorout dii top 25 coaches poll, cal state san marcos, No. 1 Cal State San Marcos

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cal State San Marcos ran its win streak to 16 games and is the unanimous No. 1 team in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Coming of a 10-day hiatus, the Cougars (18-1) showed no signs of rust with six more wins last week. They opened with a midweek doubleheader sweep of Vanguard at home before posting a 4-0 mark at the NorCal Crossover with wins against Montana State Billings, Menlo, Western Washington and Western Oregon.

Cal State East Bay and West Texas A&M remained in their respective rankings this week. The Pioneers began the week with a twinbill sweep of then-No. 16 Concordia and went 3-1 at the NorCal Crossover. A defeat at the hands of Western Washington snapped East Bay’s 15-game winning streak. The Lady Buffs (17-3) had a light week, taking both games of a Lone Star Conference doubleheader at UT Dallas.

No. 4 North Georgia and No. 5 AUM swapped places as the NightHawks (15-2) took two games at Young Harris and extended their win streak to 14. The Warhawks (13-3) won their Gulf South Conference series at Lee, winning the first two before falling in the series finale.

No. 6 Francis Marion remained at No. 6 with No. 7 Angelo State, No. 8 Missouri Southern and No. 9 Southern Arkansas all moving up one spot apiece. The Patriots (15-4) were 3-1, while the latter three went a combined 11-0.

Continuing its climb up the poll is No. 10 Saint Leo. Coming off a three-game Sunshine State Conference sweep of Rollins, the Lions (13-2-1) have won eight straight and jumped five more spots in the rankings this week.

West Florida dipped five positions to No. 12, while Carson-Newman moved up three more spots to move inside the top 20 at No. 18.
