LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan kept rolling as the unanimous No. 1 team in the NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll, the Association announced on Tuesday.

The (14-0) Marlins, who were the national runner-up to Trine last season and replaced the Thunder in the top spot in the rankings last week, added six more victories to their ledger, including half of those by run rule.

Virginia Wesleyan has a home twinbill later today against Mary Washington before opening Old Dominion Athletic Conference play with two games versus Eastern Mennonite on Saturday.

No. 2 Trine (11-1) has been idle since going 5-1 at the NFCA Division III Leadoff Classic presented by MaxBP in Columbus, Ga., but returns to action on Saturday against Anderson. The Thunder’s lone loss this season was one of two top-10 victories by Berry (also beat East Texas Baptist) at the Leadoff.

The aforementioned (13-3) Vikings are one of the other teams in an unchanged first six, staying put after a doubleheader split last Thursday with No. 9 Huntingdon. Texas Lutheran (16-2) at third, Saint Mary’s (14-2) at No. 4 and WashU (12-1-1) at No. 6 are the others.

Linfield (12-2) gained one spot to seventh after a four-game Northwest Conference series sweep of Willamette, switching spots with new No. 8 East Texas Baptist (16-3), whose only blemish on its six-game Florida trip was a 2-0 loss to Mount Union last Wednesday. Huntingdon (16-3) and Redlands (11-4) remain ninth and 10th.

Husson (13-1) broke into the Top 25 this week at 22nd following a continued stellar start. No. 20 Belhaven scored two runs in the seventh on Wednesday to deal the Eagles their first loss of the season, but Husson won its other seven contests, including shutouts of then-No. 11 Moravian and then-No. 16 Case Western Reserve.

Transylvania (12-4), which went 4-1 at its own Pioneer Classic over the weekend after a 3-3 showing at the Leadoff, is the one team in the receiving votes category. Moravian dropped out following a 3-5 week.

The NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll is selected by 10 NCAA Division III head coaches representing the 10 NCAA regions. Current 2026 records are listed, with first-place votes in parentheses.
