LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan extended its win streak to 32 games to maintain its firm grip on the No. 1 spot in the NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll, the Association announced on Tuesday.
The (32-0) Marlins, who boast the second-longest active win streak in NCAA play to Division II’s Colorado Christian’s 38, haven’t lost since last year’s NCAA Division III championship series. This past week, Virginia Wesleyan allowed a combined two runs in sweeping both Averett and Guilford.
The eight teams below them remained the same, with the top seven squads in the poll unchanged for a full month. Among the first 11 teams, only Linfield lost this past week, dropping the first game of a four-game home conference series with Lewis & Clark, 5-3 in 13 innings on Saturday.
Making big moves in the poll are No. 15 WPI (23-1) and 18th-ranked Muskingum (21-5), which gained seven spots apiece. Meanwhile, MIT (23-3) and Middlebury (23-3) jumped into the mix at 24th and tied for 25th, respectively, and unbeaten Westfield State (22-0) finally cracked the top 25, tying the Panthers for the final spot.
In the receiving votes category, Moravian (18-8), which had been ranked just outside the top 10 the first three weeks of the season, resumed getting recognition after extending its win streak to 10 games.
The NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll is selected by 10 NCAA Division III head coaches representing the 10 NCAA regions. Current 2026 records are listed, with first-place votes in parentheses.
