Purpose: To put infield through a variety of game-like situations, with each position handling throws to and ever base

Explanation: This is a progression of fundamental situations for the entire infield. Infielders should be set up in positions, and we progress through the following situ- ations, making sure that they are executed correctly before we move to the next. Because there are multiple plays happening at the same time, we have two coaches at the plate hitting.

1. Pitcher and first baseman throw to first base with second base.

2. The catcher and second baseman throw to first base with the first baseman covering, while the pitcher and shorstop throw to third base with the third baseman covering. 3. The third baseman and pitcher throw to first base with the second baseman cover- ing, while the first baseman and catcher throw to third base with the third baseman covering.

4. The catcher and first baseman throw to second base with the shortstop covering, while the pitcher and second baseman throw to third base with the third baseman covering.
5. The pitcher and third baseman throw to second base with the second baseman covering, while the catcher and shortstop throw to first base with the first baseman covering.

6. The corners work on squeeze plays, while the middle infielders work on double plays.
7. The entire defense works on pressure plays at the plate.
