Type: Drill

Purpose: Condition your athletes while working on defensive skills as well.

Equipment Needed:
Balls, gloves

Explanation:
The drill starts at the catcher position. She may roll ground balls to the forehand or backhand side, or drop a bunt for Fielder No. 1 to field. Fielder No. 1 fields the ball and throws to the base the farthest away. The player receiving the thrown ball continues the drill. Players rotate around the infield, Fielder No. 1 goes to the end of the line. Players will learn to make this drill challenging to their teammates. This can become a great conditioning drill. This is also a drill that can be used indoors.

Variations to the drill are:
1. Fielder works for a certain amount of time.
2. Fielders can also work until she makes a certain number of quality throws.
3. There can also be a penalty system for inaccurate throws.
4. The drill can be all bunts, all ground balls, or a mixture of the both.
