Type: drill

Purpose: Give you team a lot of infield throws in a short amout of time.

Explanation: Have two players at every infield position, including pitcher and catcher. Assign one player to retrieve balls from first base for the coach. Pitcher No. 1 throws the pitch. The catcher throws to second base to a middle infielder and then receives the return throw. On the return throw, the coach on the first base line hits a ground ball to the other middle infielder who then throws to first base. On the throw to first, the extra pitcher rolls the ball to the third baseman who throws to the second first baseman. The extra pitcher receives the ball from the first catcher and changes positions with pitcher No. 1. The player assisting the coach receives the ball from first base and returns the ball to the coach. The drill then repeats.
