Purpose: Utilize the short game to help you score runs and win games.

We are going to cover the techniques to help you utilize the short game to help you win games. To win ball games, we need to score runs. We cannot always count on the big home run to get us those. We are going to show you some ways to help get those runs across.

As a coach you need to get the players to believe in the system. The players want to see the results of using the short game and see how it will benefit them in scoring runs and winning games. We need to teach them the components of the short game - when to use it, why it is used and how it is used.

As coaches, we need to know the strength and weaknesses of our players and our opponents. This knowledge will increase our ability to be successful. We want to prepare our players for every situation in practice.
