Alabama earned the first No. 1 ranking in school history as it replaced SEC foe Tennessee in the top spot of the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 PollUSA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll

The Crimson Tide jumped into the top position after LSU, which moved up to fourth this week, knocked off the Lady Vols twice over the weekend to snap their school-record 26-game win streak and 11-week stint at No. 1. 

Alabama will defend its first national ranking this weekend when it ventures to Knoxville to face the second-ranked Lady Vols. 

Oklahoma remained third this week, while LSU moved into the No. 4 slot after Arizona fell one place to fifth. Texas A&M also dipped one place this week, coming in at No. 6. 

Big Ten foes Northwestern and Michigan both moved up one place, coming in at Nos. 7 and 8, respectively, while Arizona State and Baylor round out the top 10. 

Washington stayed at No. 11, with UCLA remaining immediately behind at No. 12. Hawaii and DePaul both continued to rise in the rankings, moving up one place each to Nos. 13 and 14, respectively. 

Oregon State held on to the No. 15 spot, while conference foe Stanford came in just behind after moving up one place to 16th. Texas progressed one place to No. 17, leaping an Oregon squad that dipped two more spots to No. 18. 

Georgia Tech and Florida round out the top 20 after both teams moved up two places this week. Southern Illinois dropped two places after a series loss to Illinois State, who moved up two places into a tie for 22nd with Louisiana-Lafayette. 

Virginia Tech slipped one place to 24th, while Missouri made its 2007 poll debut, coming in at No. 25.
