Arizona used three shutout victories over Oregon and Oregon State to remain No. 1 in the final regular season USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll.
The Wildcats face UCLA on Friday at Easton Stadium before traveling to Seattle to take on Washington. Arizona has clinched the Pac-10 championship.
California defeated UCLA and took a pair of games from Washington last weekend. The Bears moved up two spots to No. 2 in this week’s poll.
LSU also jumped two spots to third. The Tigers won the Southeastern Conference regular season title and open play in the SEC Tournament with South Carolina on Thursday.
Florida State dropped to fourth after a 1-3 performance last week. The Tribe split two games with Auburn and lost a two-game set at Michigan.
UCLA checks in at No. 5 this week. The Bruins dropped games to Washington and Cal before bouncing back with a two game sweep over Stanford.
Michigan moved up two spots to sixth. The Wolverines are followed by Stanford and Louisiana-Lafayette.
A trio of SEC teams follow. Georgia is tenth, followed by Tennessee and Auburn. Oregon, Nebraska and Alabama round out the top 15.
Fresno State dropped two spots after losing two games against WAC rival Tulsa. South Florida remained 17th while Long Beach State, Baylor and Oregon State round out the top 20.
The last five ranked teams are Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida, Notre Dame and Tulsa, who enters the poll for the first time this season.
