STARKVILLE, Miss. – In a week that saw 20 of 25 ranked teams lose at least one game, the Washington Huskies garnered 29 of 30 first–place votes to stay on top of the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 poll
for the seventh straight edition of the rankings.
Michigan moved to second in the poll, while Arizona fell to fourth in the only change to the top five this week. The other two top five teams from last week, Missouri and UCLA, held steady at third and fifth, respectively.
No. 23 Louisiana-Lafayette was the only team to drop out of the poll this week, marking the first time this season the Ragin’ Cajuns have been unranked. Baylor was the only new addition to the rankings this time around, rejoining the fray at No. 25.
The USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll is voted on by NCAA Division I head coaches, one representing each conference.
The next USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 poll will be released Tuesday, March 30.
