The top three remained the same for the third consecutive week in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll.
Michigan improved to 40-3 and remained No. 1 in the poll. The Wolverines were followed by Pac-10 rivals Arizona and California.
Texas moved up one spot to No. 4 after defeating Texas A&M and splitting with Oklahoma. The Sooners follow Texas at No. 5, while Tennessee fell two spots to No. 6 after dropping two of three games to Auburn.
Texas A&M remained seventh and Stanford held on to the eighth spot. Alabama checks in at No. 9 after an impressive three-game sweep of Mississippi State and Oregon State makes its first appearance since 1998 in the Top 10 after a 7-0 Pac-10 start.
Just two points separate the Beavers and the next two teams in the poll. Baylor is No. 11 while Georgia dropped one spot to No. 12. UCLA fell to 13th, while Louisiana-Lafayette and Missouri round out the top 15.
Northwestern, off to an 8-0 start in league play, is 16th. Florida fell one spot to No. 17 while Fresno State moved up a spot to 18th. Georgia Tech and Auburn each moved up two spots to No. 19 and No. 20, respectively.
The last five ranked teams are Arizona State, Creighton, Iowa, Washington and Oregon.
