USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 PollUSA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll 

UCLA received 27 first-place votes to remain atop the USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Softball Poll for the third consecutive week. 

The Bruins dropped a mid-week decision to Oregon State, but rebounded with a sweep of Oregon to maintain the top position. Texas garnered two first-place votes to remain No. 2 with a 45-5 record. The Longhorns knocked off in-state foe Texas Tech during the week, but was unable to advance in the poll after splitting a pair of 1-0 decisions with Kansas. 

Arizona held on to No. 3 after knocking off Stanford and splitting with California, and Tennessee maintained the fourth position after a 6-0 week that moved the Lady Vols to 47-6 overall on the campaign. 

The rest of the top seven remained unchanged from last week, with Alabama holding in fifth while Pac-10 foes Stanford and California held the No. 6 and 7 positions, respectively. 

Fresh off its upset of top-ranked Bruins, Oregon State moved up one spot to eighth, while Georgia fell one spot to ninth after dropping a weekend series to Alabama. Arizona State stayed in the top 10 after knocking off Cal and splitting with Stanford during the week. 

LSU stayed at No. 11 and Michigan at No. 12 again this week. Louisiana-Lafayette maintained the No. 13 position, while Northwestern used a 4-0 week to move up two spots to No. 14, replacing a Washington squad that dropped to 16th after a 1-2 week. 

A pair of Big 12 foes stayed steady in the polls again this week as Texas A&M remained at No. 15 and Nebraska at No. 17. Fellow conference foe Baylor used a win over the Aggies to spark a 5-0 week that moved the Bears up one place to No. 18. The Bears’ move dropped Auburn one place to No. 19, while North Carolina stayed at No. 20. 

Louisville held steady at No. 21, and Fresno State jumped one place to 22nd after a 2-1 week dropped Oklahoma one spot to 23rd. 

Florida held on to the No. 24 spot, and Southern Illinois rounded out the poll for the second straight week.
