STARKVILLE, Miss. – The North Georgia Saints received all 16 first-place votes for the third consecutive week in the NFCA Division II Top 25 pollNFCA Division II Top 25 poll, making them the No. 1 team in the country for the fourth straight week. 

In the rest of the top five, Angelo State held strong at No. 2, while Hawaii Pacific moved up one spot from fourth to third. New to the top five this week was Valdosta State, who moved from sixth to fourth, while Wayne State (MI) stayed put at fifth. 

Only three teams dropped out of this week’s poll, the fewest number to do so this season. No. 22 Augustana (SD), No. 23 Georgian Court and No. 25 Nova Southeastern all fell out of the rankings, but were replaced by No. 20 Emporia State, No. 24 New Haven and No. 25 Wayne State (NE). 

This mark’s the first rankings of the year for both Emporia State and New Haven, while Wayne State (NE) returns to the poll after a two-week absence. 

The NFCA Division II Top 25 is voted on by 16 NCAA Division II head coaches, two representing each of the eight NCAA regions. 

The next NFCA Division II Top 25 poll will be released on Wednesday, March 31.
