View the NFCA Division II Poll
Despite only receiving two first place votes, West Florida is the new No. 1 in the latest NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll, released Wednesday by the association.
The Argonauts are off to a 31-1 start, and edged out undefeated Northern Kentucky for the top spot. The Norse received the remaining six first place votes, but were seven points behind UWF.
Kennesaw State continues to roll in the Peach Belt Conference. The Owls are No. 3, followed by West region power Humboldt State. St. Mary's (Texas) moved up one spot to fifth, while Shippensburg dropped three spots to No. 6 in the bi-weekly tabbing.
Alabama-Huntsville remained seventh, followed by Emporia State, North Florida and defending national champion Angelo State.
Lynn, off to a 26-5 start, is ranked No. 1, followed by upstart squads from San Francisco State and Missouri Western. Perennial power Bloomsburg is 14th while Francis Marion checks in at No. 15.
Southern Illinois-Edwardsville returns to the rankings at No. 16. Caldwell is 17th, Central Oklahoma, Saint Leo and Cal State Dominguez Hills complete the top 20.
The last five ranked teams are LeMoyne, South Carolina-Upstate, Washburn, Southeastern Oklahoma and Florida Southern.
