Louisiana College takes over the top spot with three first-place votes in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll

The Wildcats are the third team to hold the No. 1 ranking this season, taking over from ASC rival Texas-Tyler.The switch at the top is indicative of a wild week in the overall poll, including four teams picking up votes for the No. 1 spot. No. 2 St. Thomas was one of those teams, as was No. 3 Linfield, who picked up three top-spot votes. East Texas Baptist jumps nine spots to No. 4 after a doubleheader sweep of previous No. 1 and now No. 5, Texas-Tyler.
The final first-place vote went to No. 6 Central, who stands at 20-2, followed by No. 7 Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Christopher Newport, at 29-3, jumps a spot to No. 8, while Cortland State falls two spots to No. 9. As the only undefeated team remaining in the poll, Tufts rounds out the top 10 at 21-0.
In the remaining 15 spots, teams have been shuffled around from the previous week, with No. 23 Rhode Island College being the only newly-ranked team after a week's absence. The only other major move was a 21-spot fall by No. 25 Washington-St. Louis.
