NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll
For the second straight week, St. Thomas is the unanimous No. 1 in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll, the association announced Wednesday. The 24-2 Tommies are on an 18-game win streak with eight regular season games remaining.
Louisiana College remains at No. 2 after a 1-0 week, with Ithaca and Linfield sharing the No. 3 spot. While Ithaca has not played since March 31, Linfield went 4-0 on the week. Wisconsin-Eau Claire rounds out the top five after winning its first two games since March 23 due to weather.
The theme continues, as No. 6 Central gained six victories on the week after not playing since March 17. Moravian jumps a spot to No. 7 at 18-4, as does Chapman to No. 8 at 24-9 after an idle week. Whitworth jumps seven spots to No. 9 after a 4-0 week, as does Muskingum to a tie for the 10th spot. After struggling at the NFCA Leadoff Classic, the Muskies have rebounded with an 11-game win streak, including an away sweep at No. 21 Marietta. Simpson remains in a tie for the 10 spot at 21-5.
Mount Union slips six spots to No. 12, while Montclair State makes a huge 10-spot jump to No. 13 at 22-2. Christopher Newport falls to No. 14, and Plattsburgh State stays put to round out the top 15.
Mississippi College makes its first appearance ever in the poll at No. 16; the Choctaws sit at 26-6 on the season. Rhode Island College jumps a spot to No. 17, while Ramapo falls to No. 18. University of Chicago remains at No. 19, as does Emory at No. 20.
Marietta falls seven spots to No. 21, while 17-2 Wartburg falls one to a share for No. 22 with University of Redlands. Bridgewater debuts at No. 24 at 24-4, while Illinois Wesleyan rounds out the poll at No. 25.
