After winning the program's first overall national title, Wisconsin-Eau Claire received all eight first place votes to take the No. 1 spot in the final NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll. 

Eau Claire finished 36-11 on the season after going a perfect 8-0 in NCAA championship play. WIAC rival Wisconsin-Whitewater finished as runners-up in both the national championship and the final poll, as well, after finishing 39-11.
