Amber Puchalski, Pitcher, Central Michigan University

Puchalski went 3-0 on the week throwing three shutouts and capping it off with a perfect game against Bowling Green. The perfect game no-hitter was her fourth no-hitter this season, setting a new CMU season record and bringing her within one of the career record in just her rookie season. Against Bowling Green, Puchalski struck out the first nine Falcons batters setting a new CMU recordfor consecutive strikeouts (the old mark was eight). Puchalski tied a season-high with 13 strikeouts in the first perfect game of her career. For the season, Puchalski is 12-6 with a 0.87 ERA. She has nine shutouts and the opponents are hitting .138 against her. She has fanned 137 and walked 45 in 104.1 innings.

Stephanie Poetzsch, Pitcher, Stony Brook University

Against Fairfield on April 3, Poetzsch earned third shutout of the season with 2-0 win. She struck out seven, allowed five hits and one walk. Against Rider on April 5, she pitched the first no-hitter in SBU history with a 2-0 win. Threw near-perfect game with no hits, no runs, 15 strikeouts and just one walk. The 15 strikeouts is also a record for most K's in a game. Last season, she had 119 K’s to set a new record, and she broke the career record last season in just her first year with the Seawolves. She now has 236 in her career.

Sarah Beeson, First Base, Stanford

Beeson hit .556 for the weekend (5-for-9) including a home run and two doubles. She had six RBI and five runs scored in addition to a 1.111 slugging percentage. Against Oregon, she went 3-for-3 while hitting her ninth home run of the year. In two games against No. 16 Oregon State, Beeson became Stanford's all-time leader in doubles. She hit her 42nd career two-bagger (and 12th of the season) on Sunday in a 4-0 win. She scored three runs and had a pair of RBI. She is hitting .441 for the year (.500 in Pac-10 play) and leads the Cardinal with 47 RBI.

Natasha Watley, Shortstop, UCLA

This week, Watley went 7-for-16 (.438) with five runs scored, a triple, two RBI and two stolen bases, upping her school-record season total to 35. In Saturday's loss to No. 2 Arizona, Watley handled three putouts and five assists without an error and added four more errorless chances in Sunday's win. Watley has hit safely in 22 consecutive games, the longest streak by any Bruin this season.

Britni Sneed, Pitcher, LSU

Junior pitcher Britni Sneed led the Tigers to five victories on the week, earning four wins and a save in her six appearances. She is 22-4 for the season and 12-0 in the SEC. She hurled four shutouts for the week to run her season total to 11 and set the LSU single season record. She did not allow a single run in 32.1 innings of work against Arkansas and No. 3 Alabama, and has not allowed a run in over 43 innings of play, dating back to March 31 against Georgia. She struck out 23 Alabama batters in 16 innings of work against the Tide and sat down 45 for the week. She leads the team with 244 strikeouts for the season.

Leslie Poole, Pitcher, Fresno State

Poole went undefeated and notched two shutout wins for the second straight weekend. Has four shutout wins in her last four starts (No. 8 Cal State Fullerton, UC Riverside, Portland State and San Jose State). Overall, Poole improved to 14-5 with 65 strikeouts and a 1.02 ERA in 130.0 innings. She has a current streak of 34.0 innings without a run or earned run in her last six appearances (four starts, two relief). In the last 46.1 innings, she has given up only three runs (all earned), eight walks, 23 strikeouts and a 0.46 ERA.

Nicki Robbins, Outfield, Army

Robbins hit .516 (16-for-31) during a busy week for the Black Knights. She broke two school records (career RBI, 73, and career total bases, 234) and tied another (doubles in a season, 14) in leading Army to a 7-3 week. Robbins scored 10 runs in 10 games, and her home run against Binghamton University gave Army a 1-0 victory. She hit six doubles during the week and knocked in five runs, while also stealing two bases. She currently leads the nation in two categories: batting average (.508) and doubles (.67/game). Robbins went 8-for-12 against Patriot League rival Colgate in a four-game sweep that put Army in first place in the league and set a career-high with three runs scored in the last game of the series.

Teri Rooney, Centerfield, Massachusetts

Rooney had an outstanding week at the plate as UMass took a 5-4 win at home over Boston College and swept three games from conference foe St. Bonaventure on the road. The Minutewomen have now won 13 straight games and are 20-9 on the year and 6-0 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. For the week, Rooney hit 8-for-14 (.571) with two triples, five runs scored and two RBI. She is currently third on the team in batting with a .302 average. In game one versus St. Bonaventure she was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while in game two she was 2-for-4 with three runs scored.

Lindsay Chouinard, Pitcher, DePaul

In 20 innings pitched against Valparaiso and UAB, she allowed just five hits and one earned run, striking out 20. She has given up two hits or less in nine games this season and has recorded six shutouts. She tossed her first career no-hitter against UAB, carrying a perfect game into the ninth inning. She has already been named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week.

Jen White-Stokes, Pitcher/DP, Florida State

White-Stokes led the Seminoles to a 4-1 mark this week with three huge wins on the mound and three RBI at the plate. She now leads FSU in wins (14), ERA (0.46), appearances (23), starts (18), complete games (15), shutouts (9), innings pitched (122) and fewest earned runs allowed (8).

Melanie Fisher, Designated Player, Missouri

She had a key home run for the Tigers in MU's 2-0 win against Iowa State. She was 5-for-11 (.455) for the week with a run scored, two RBI, and two stolen bases in two attempts.

Outstanding Division II Player Performances

Jenny Bakke, Designated Player, North Dakota State

Bakke connected for 15 hits in 24 at-bats for a .625 batting average to lead No. 2-ranked North Dakota State University (34-3) to a 6-1 week. Bakke scored 10 runs, had 7 RBIs, belted three doubles and added a pair of triples. The Bison lead-off hitter was also issued three walks and was hit by a pitch to finish with a .679 on-base percentage. Bakke collected two or more hits in five of the games including a 4-for-5 effort against No. 6-ranked Nebraska-Omaha in a 2-1 nine-inning loss that snapped NDSU's 25-game winning streak. She then went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a double in the next game, a 9-2 win over South Dakota.

Beth Berry, First Base, Wayne State (MI)

Berry hit .444 for the week with with one double, triple and home run. She had a slugging percentage this week of .778. She has a slugging percentage of .522 on the season. Berry has not committed an error this season in 169 plays. Berry has improved her batting average from .297 (beginning of this week) to .326. She had extended her hitting streak to 13 games before the streak ended Sunday against Grand Valley State. Her two-run homer in the Detroit ccontest was in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs and sent the game to extra innings.

Megan Campbell, First Base/DP, Gannon (PA)

Megan Campbell led Gannon to a 4-0 week with doubleheader sweeps of Edinboro (5-0, 8-7) and Mercyhurst (4-2, 9-1). She recorded two hits in three of the team's four games last week. She owns a seven-game hitting streak, the longest current streak on the team. Campbell hit a home run in both games of a doubleheader against Edinboro University last Monday. She drove in at least one run in all four games last week.

Jennifer Mackson, Pitcher, Grand Valley State (MI)

In three complete game wins, one each against Saginaw Valley State, Ferris State and Wayne State (MI), Mackson allowed three earned runs in 21 innings (1.00 ERA), six hits and no walks while striking out 21. She is now 11-0 for the season.

Marci Mitchell, Pitcher, Carson-Newman (TN)

Mitchell picked up six wins and pitched two perfect games this week. She started the week by breaking her career-high strikeout record by fanning 12 batters vs. Anderson College in a 4-0 victory by the Lady Eagles. Wednesday, she pitched 16 innings and gained two victories including a perfect game effort against Lenoir-Rhyne. Mitchell finished her week with two more wins including a second perfect game over Mars Hill.

Christy Patterson, First Base, Delta State (MS)

In four games last week, two against Central Arkansas and two against Henderson State, Patterson batted .563 (9-for-16) with three doubles, a home run and eight RBI. She also stole three bases and slugged .923.

Tina Savage, First Base, Rollins (FL)

Savage homered in both games against No. 10 Florida Southern, including a grand slam in game two. She also had two home runs in game two against Saint Leo, ranked No. 6 in the South Region. She helped lead Rollins to a 2-2 weekend against the Sunshine State Conference leaders, Florida Southern and Saint Leo.

Outstanding Division III Player Performances.

Molly Parrott, Second base, Central College (IA)

In four games, Parrott batted .600 (9-for-15) with two doubles, five RBI, a .600 on-base percentage and five stolen bases in five tries. She also handled 13 errorless fielding chances as Central swept Iowa Athletic Conference doubleheaders against Cornell (4-0 and 8-0) and Upper Iowa (8-0, 9-0).

Denise Gard, Pitcher, Edgewood College (WI)

Gard was 3-1 for the week with the only loss coming to Wisconsin-Whitewater, 1-0. She had an ERA of 0.78 with 18 strikeouts and 3 walks in 27 innings pitched. She also batted .263 for the week, including two doubles and three RBI. She had no errors. She helped in bringing Edgewood to a fifth-place finish in the Wisconsin-Platteville Tournament.

Karen Smith, Outfield, Simpson College (IA)

Smith, Simpson's leadoff hitter, tied the school record for most home runs in a season with her fifth against Loras on April 5. Simpson was 4-2 for week. In six games, Smith batted .500 (10-for-20) with five runs scored, one home run, two RBI, an .850 slugging percentage, a .425 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Rita Horning, First Base, Cabrini College (PA)

Horning batted .591 (13-for-22) with four doubles, two triples, one home run, 15 RBI and 11 runs scored in an 8-0 week. Cabrini won the Ithaca/Cortland invitational tournament (April 7/8) going 4-0 with wins over Ithaca, Cortland, St. Lawrence and Cazenovia. Horning’s three-run homer over Cortland to broke up a tie game that Cabrini went on to win, 6-1. Earlier in the week she was 6-for-8 against Cedar Crest with a double, triple and five runs scored. She continued her consecutive game hitting streak of 27 games which includes 14 multiple hit games. She has 10 doubles, three triples and three home runs this year and has been voted the PAC (Pennsylvania Athletic Conference) Player of the week twice this year.

Jill Hocking, Pitcher/First Base, Saint Mary's University (MN)

Hocking hit a team-leading .417 (10-for-24), including two doubles, a triple and a home run, and drove in nine runs as the Cardinals went 5-3 last week. Hocking also appeared in five games on the mound, compiling a 2-2 record and a 1.52 ERA with 20 strikeouts. Most impressive, however, was her seven-strikeout, six-inning no-hitter against Macalester last Saturday, in which only three balls left the infield.

Megan Bumann, Pitcher, William Penn University (IA)

Bumann went 2-0 without allowing an earned run in 13.2 innings. During that span, shw gave up five hits and four walks while stirking out 10 to lead Penn to a 4-0 mark in Iowa Conference action last week. For the season, Bumann is 12-3 with an ERA of 1.00 and five shutouts.

Shannon Pedersen, Pitcher, North Central College (IL)

Pedersen pitched in all six games the Cardinals played last week. She was a perfect 5-0 for the week and notched a save in her sixth appearance. She started and completed three games and picked up two relief wins. She allowed just two earned runs (three total) in six games and 25.2 innings pitched (0.55 ERA for the week). She scattered 17 hitsover that time and threw a 7-0 shutout win over Wheaton College. She has thrown seven shutouts this season, including a no-hitter and is a perfect 12-0 for the Cardinals with a 1.09 ERA. She also struck out 11 batters during the week. The Cardinals have won 22 straight games and are 24-2 overall and 6-0 in the CCIW.

Mandy Schenck, pitcher/DP, College of New Jersey

In a 6-0 week for the Lions, Schenck was 8-for-15 (.533) with four RBI, one run, and one double. She also went 3-0 on the rubber. In 21.0 IP, she fanned 19 batters, allowed nine hits, two runs, two earned runs, and walked two. Schenck threw a one-hit shutout against Kean. She is now 6-9 on the season with 92.0 IP, 28 runs, 21 earned runs, a 1.60 ERA, 68 K's, and 5.17 K's per seven innings. She ranks fourth among the New Jersey Athletic Conference in strikeouts per seven innings (5.17).
