LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the New Hampshire Softball Coaches Association (NHSCA) have partnered in a joint membership initiative, announced the NFCA on Friday afternoon.
The initiative, led by NHSCA president and Windham High School head coach David Hedge, allows a head coach, who pays their individual or group NHSCA membership fee, to receive a head coach membership with the NFCA.
“Through my membership in NFCA, I have been provided with the most current drills and game strategies as well as access to college coaches who share their coaching philosophies, and ways to best deal with today’s athletes,” said Hedge.
It will continue to grow the NFCA’s High School membership, a longtime goal of the Association, but more importantly it presents New Hampshire high school coaches and their student-athletes the opportunity to have access to NFCA education, awards, events, networking opportunities and Convention scholarships. In turn, the NHSCA is making a financial commitment to their softball coaches, which opens the door for the NFCA to assist them in their quest for excellence.
Additionally, any coach who participates in the new joint membership will receive an educational softball video bundle package of their choice ($50 value).
“The many resources the NFCA has available for the members of the NHSCA will help to elevate the game of softball in New Hampshire,” Hedge said.
The NHSCA is the third Association to take advantage of this initiative. Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association and NFCA High School Board Rep Kristi Williams paved the way for other state associations. The Illinois Softball Coaches Association followed suit in January of 2023.
