LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma kept winning as it pushed its win streak to 13 games to strengthen its hold on the top spot in this week’s  USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The Sooners (31-1) reasserted themselves as the unanimous No. 1 team in the country by winning four more contests last week, which included a three-game Big 12 series sweep of then No. 22 Baylor at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. Since having its 71-game winning streak snapped, OU has outscored its opposition 136-16 with eight of those victories via the run rule.

Multiple defeats by LSU and Oklahoma State caused the top-10 deck to shuffle behind the Sooners. Texas and Georgia posted 4-0 weeks to move into the No. 2 and 3 spots. The Longhorns (28-3) began their trip to the Sunshine State with a 10-0 thumping of then-No. 17 Florida State and concluded with a 3-0 sweep of UCF in Big 12 action. The Bulldogs (27-4) collected four wins which included a SEC series sweep at an Ole Miss squad that won its final two games at then-No. 2 LSU and ended the Tigers undefeated start.

Tennessee collected three more wins last week to elevate to No. 4, while Duke shifted into the No. 5 spot following a 4-1 week. The Lady Vols (25-4) pushed their win streak to 18 games, blanking Western Carolina and taking the first two at South Carolina in SEC play. After midweek wins against UNC Wilmington, the Blue Devils (26-3) earned a hard-fought Atlantic Coast Conference series win at Louisville (3-2, 1-2 8 inn., 5-3).

The Tigers (25-4) and Cowgirls (26-5) each dipped four spots to No. 6 and 8, respectively. After losing to Ole Miss, 9-2, on March 18, LSU dropped the first two to new-No. 12 Missouri in Columbia before ending its four-game skid in the series finale. OSU suffered a shutout loss at Tulsa before a Big 12 series win at BYU (3-2, 8-11, 10-2).

No. 7 Stanford, No. 9 Washington and No. 10 Florida round out the top 10. In Pac-12 action, the Cardinal (25-5) swept Utah, while the Huskies (22-5) took two-of-three from No. 14 UCLA. The Gators (29-4) added four more wins to their resume, blanking FGCU on the road and taking all three from RV Kentucky in SEC play.

Outside the top 10, Mizzou’s series win versus LSU and a midweek road victory at RV Kansas pushed the Tigers up three spots to No. 12. Also climbing three places to No. 17 is Mississippi State as the Bulldogs (24-7) won its SEC series at Arkansas.

Clemson tumbled down the rankings to No. 16 following three defeats last week, at home to No. 23 South Carolina and two on the road in ACC action against Virginia.

Oregon makes its return to the poll at No. 24. The Ducks (19-10) swept Arizona State and have opened 7-2 in Pac-12 play.
