LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma swept No. 9 Texas solidifying its hold on the unanimous No. 1 ranking in this week’s 2023 USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll. With the Big 12 sweep of the Longhorns (30-8-1), the Sooners (33-1) ran their season-long win streak to 25 games.

In other top-10 action, No. 2 Oklahoma State and No. 3 UCLA each posted 3-0 marks, which included the Bruins’ (32-4) Pac-12 sweep of then-No. 6 Stanford. The Cowgirls (32-2) have won 14 straight after a nine-inning triumph over Tulsa and a twinbill thumping of Incarnate Word.

Clemson overtook Tennessee for No. 4, while Florida State reclaimed the sixth spot from Stanford. Arkansas elevated to No. 8, ahead of No. 9 Texas and No. 10 Washington.

The Tigers (36-1), who lead NCAA Division I with its 36 triumphs, picked up four more to extend their win streak to a program-record 22 games. The Lady Vols (29-3) won their fourth straight SEC series, taking two-of-three at new-No. 24 Texas A&M, improving to 10-2 in league play.

The sixth-ranked Seminoles (29-7) and eighth-ranked Razorbacks (27-9) each swept their respective conference series on the road. FSU topped Georgia Tech, while Arkansas upended Mississippi State.

No. 10 Washington fell two spots to round out the top-10 after dropping two-of-three in Pac-12 play at new-No. 25 Arizona State. 

No. 11 Duke and No. 12 LSU crept closer to the top 10. The Blue Devils (28-8) went to Blacksburg and grabbed two-of-three from then-No. 12 Virginia Tech, while the Tigers (31-6) cracked the 30-win mark following five non-conference home wins.

Additionally, Florida dropped another four positions this week to No. 15 after the Gators (26-9) were upended twice by South Carolina in SEC play.

With their wins over the Huskies, the Sun Devils (20-11) made their return to the rankings, while Utah, which dropped two-of-three versus RV Cal fell out.

The 2023 USA Today / NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 32 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA’s Division I Conferences. Records reflect games played through April 2, 2023.
