LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An unchanged first four, led by reigning national champion Trine, continued to lead the way in the NFCA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The top-ranked (22-1) Thunder captured four more games, while No. 2 Salisbury (16-1) scored a ranked sweep of Virginia Wesleyan, No. 3 Linfield (20-0) stayed undefeated and No. 4 East Texas Baptist (19-1) extended its win streak to 18 games.
Berry (27-3) and Case Western Reserve (19-2) kept winning as well, along with Belhaven (26-4) and Randolph-Macon (12-2-2) going a combined 9-1-1. All four moved up one spot to fill out the first eight. Last week’s No. 5 team, Christopher Newport (15-4), dropped to ninth after being swept at home by DePauw.
Huntingdon (22-4) and Virginia Wesleyan (11-6) swapped places just below Bethel (11-3), who was idle and stayed put at No. 10.
Elsewhere, No. 15 Wisconsin-Whitewater (12-0) and No. 16 Pfeiffer (24-0) both remained perfect to continue their steady climb up the poll, while Rensselaer (15-0-1) went 6-0 for the week and undefeated Wisconsin-Oshkosh (16-0) joined the mix, tying Lynchburg (17-5) for this week’s final ranking spot. Ramapo (13-3), fresh off a sweep of The College of New Jersey, is the other poll newcomer at No. 23.
The NFCA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll is selected by 10 NCAA Division III head coaches representing the 10 NCAA regions. Current records are listed, with first-place votes in parentheses.
