LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 383 student-athletes from 170 schools who comprise the 2025 NFCA Division III All-Region teams.
Region IV’s Rowan, which headed into this week’s NCAA tournament ranked fourth in the GoRout/NFCA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll, placed a division-best and maximum eight players on its region list, with six on the first team and the other two on the second team. Meanwhile, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Region II and fifth-ranked Trine in Region VII tied for second-most, with seven All-Region selections apiece.
Seven schools — Husson and Wesleyan in Region I, Alfred in Region II, Messiah, No. 8 Salisbury and No. 18 Moravian in Region V, and sixth-ranked Linfield in Region X — had six players chosen. Another seven — Tufts (Region I), The College of New Jersey (Region IV), No. 2 Christopher Newport and No. 3 Virginia Wesleyan (both Region VI), Central (Region IX), and top-ranked East Texas Baptist and No. 9 Texas Lutheran (both Region X) — scored five honorees each.
Eight schools had four players recognized, while 29 had three, 49 got two, and 67 had one.
The awards honor student-athletes from the Association’s 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region.
If they were not already voted to an All-Region squad, conference Players and Pitchers of the Year from member institutions are added to the third team in their region, so long as they are nominated by their member head coach and receive votes.
All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 28 online and on-site at the NCAA Division III Finals banquet in Bloomington, Ill.
