Type: drill


Purpose: Give your players lots of reps in a short amount of time, while demanding focus and concentration.

Explanation: 1. This drill is an "oldie but goodie" and one of my absolute favorites. Coaches can determine the pace of the drill by how fast they hit. You need two cocahes at homeplate, one on each side. Each coach will serve as a hitter and take turns hitting to different defensive positions.

2. You need at least one catcher and then another person to throw the balls into for each side of the field. All other position players are at their positions except for the pitcher. NO pitchers on the mound for this drill.

3. There are three rounds to this drill. The drill is great for giving your players tons of reps and also to pick up the energy and pace at practice.

4. Each coach alternately hits and all players must be focused so that no one gets injured.
