Type: drill

Purpose: This fun drill focuses on hitting and baserunning fundamentals while also allowing for some conditioning.

This drill is based on two teams competing against each other. One team is at bat with a tee, and the other team has fielders on first and third. The batter hits the ball off the tee and runs as many bases as she can until both fielders have touched the ball.

The score is kept by counting the number of bases reached before the ball is touched by both fielders. After all batters have batted, switched sides. We usually play three innings at the end of practice, and the losing team cleans up.
