Course Overview
  • Take an in-depth look at planning, organizing and conducting practices from the ground up
  • Construct a draft of a master practice plan. Discuss sample daily plans
  • Consider differences in pre-season, pre-game and off-season plans
  • Develop practice policies and procedures, logistics and routines
  • Discuss mistakes coaches make when teaching drills and how to prevent them
  • Learn how to boost your players' performance through effective feedback
  • Actively participate in drills designed to improve your personal coaching skills
  • Observe and evaluate practices designed to help players develop game sense, counter offensive-defensive strategies and prepare for games

Refund Policy

We understand that conflicts may arise and we do offer a refund (minus a $25 processing fee) when cancellation occurs at a minimum of 8 days prior to the event. Course materials will be sent out one week prior to the event and no refund will be offered after the course materials are sent.

In the event of inclement weather that results in cancellation of the event, a full refund minus $25 administrative fee will be provided.

FAQ

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

NFCA will provide a notebook. If you prefer digital notes, please bring your own tablet or laptop.

DOES THE NFCA PROVIDE MEALS DURING CLASS DAY?

Attendees are on their own for meals during NFCC courses, unless otherwise stated. Meal breaks will be provided.

WHAT IS APPROPRIATE DRESS FOR THE NFCC COURSES?

Participants should wear clothing comfortable for an indoor classroom setting. A lightweight jacket is recommended for your individual comfort. Most classes will also have sessions outdoors, so appropriate dress is recommended.

DO I HAVE TO PRE-REGISTER OR CAN I SIGN UP ON SITE?

Walk-ups will be accepted during the registration period the day of the course; however, pre-registration is highly recommended to secure your seat in the class.

*Note there are NO walk-ups permitted for course 408

CAN I GET CEU CREDITS FOR ATTENDING A COURSE?

The NFCA is happy to provide attendance verification forms for any of our educational events. Please contact Joanna Lane (joanna@nfca.org) for more information.

DO I NEED TO TAKE THE COURSES IN A CERTAIN ORDER?

No, NFCC courses may be taken in ANY order.

DO I NEED TO ATTEND BOTH 402A AND 402B TO EARN MASTER COACH STATUS?

Any coaches who have not taken 402 prior to 2016 WILL be required to take both 402A and 402B to achieve their 4 Star Master Coach recognition.

MAY I RETAKE AN NFCC COURSE?

Yes, of course! Many of our members choose to re-take these courses on a regular basis as the information and delivery of content varies greatly when instructors change. There is no discount when re-taking an NFCC course.
