You asked for more pitching and catching instruction and we heard you. Being offered for the first time ever in 2022, Our brand-new NFCC 410 course will provide an in-depth look at all things related to the battery. Join instructors and fellow classmates to learn more about year-round workouts for pitchers, the importance of rest and recovery, keys to effective pitch calling, introducing new pitches, in-game troubleshooting, training the mental game, the defensive development of catchers, how to create a positive umpire relationship, and more. Join Cindy Bristow (UC RIverside), Sam Marder (Oregon) and Jennifer Rocha (Oklahoma) to go beyond the bullpen and into the heart of the battery.

- Create proper throwing plans for pitchers that account for rest and recovery periods
- Learn to engage your catchers in pitch calling strategies, the umpire relationship, and on-field leadership

FAQ
At this time we do not offer any additional discounts to attend an NFCC course. Scholarships are also not offered for NFCC.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO THE COURSE?
All participants should bring either a notebook or loose-leaf paper for taking notes. If you wish to follow along with the course manual you may choose to print it out prior or utilize a laptop/tablet. In an effort to Go Green, the NFCA has moved to a digital course manual, which will be sent out closer to the course date.
DOES THE NFCA PROVIDE MEALS DURING CLASS DAY?
Attendees are on their own for meals during NFCC courses, unless otherwise stated. Meal breaks will be provided.
WHAT IS APPROPRIATE DRESS FOR THE NFCC COURSES?
Participants should wear clothing comfortable for an indoor classroom setting. A lightweight jacket is recommended for your individual comfort. Most classes will also have sessions outdoors, so appropriate dress is recommended.
DO I HAVE TO PRE-REGISTER OR CAN I SIGN UP ON SITE?
Walk-ups will be accepted during the registration period the day of the course; however, pre-registration is highly recommended to secure your seat in the class.
*Note there are NO walk-ups permitted for course 408
CAN I GET CEU CREDITS FOR ATTENDING A COURSE?
The NFCA is happy to provide attendance verification forms for any of our educational events. Please contact Joanna Lane (joanna@nfca.org) for more information.
DO I NEED TO TAKE THE COURSES IN A CERTAIN ORDER?
No, NFCC courses may be taken in ANY order.
DO I NEED TO ATTEND BOTH 402A AND 402B TO EARN MASTER COACH STATUS?
Any coaches who have not taken 402 prior to 2016 WILL be required to take both 402A and 402B to achieve their 4 Star Master Coach recognition.
MAY I RETAKE AN NFCC COURSE?
Yes, of course! Many of our members choose to re-take these courses on a regular basis as the information and delivery of content varies greatly when instructors change. There is no discount when re-taking an NFCC course.
