LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fifty-five student-athletes from 41 different institutions have been voted to one of three 2026 NFCA Division II All-America teams, the Association revealed on Wednesday.
Leading the way in 2026 is South Central Region champions West Texas A&M University, boasting four All-Americans, three on the first team, including 2026 NFCA DII Freshman of the Year Brooke Janning, a first-team at-large selection at Utility/Pitcher.
Pittsburg State University and University of Indianapolis each garnered three All-America honors with the Gorillas earning two first-team nods and the Greyhounds one. Seven other programs – Angelo State University, Auburn University at Montgomery, Cal State San Marcos, East Stroudsburg University, Franklin Pierce University, Missouri Southern State University and University of North Georgia – each had two All-Americans.
Highlighting this year’s teams is McKendree University senior shortstop Lauren Harris. She is the 22nd player to be decorated as a four-time NFCA Division II All-American. It’s her second unanimous first-team selection (2024), to go along with third-team honors in 2023 and 2025. She is just the second shortstop to earn the honor four times, the first was Augustana University’s Kim Kouri (1988-91).
Joining Janning on the first team are unanimous All-America teammates second baseman Jordyn De Los Santos and outfielder Bella Holland, along with third-team catcher Trinity Kuntz.
In addition to Harris, De Los Santos and Holland, University of Tampa pitcher Gwen McGinnis, Pittsburg State catcher Lexi Davis, Florida Tech first baseman Emma Chisholm, University of Wisconsin-Parkside third baseman Mia Johnson, Saginaw Valley State University’s Aalana Kimble (Joan Joyce Utility/Pitcher) and Cal State San Marcos’ Jillian Albayati (DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher) were all unanimous first-team recipients. Kimble’s award honors the late Joan Joyce, an NFCA Hall of Famer, unparalleled two-way player, and pioneer of women’s sports.
Additionally, Concordia University Irvine’s Morgan Kneubuhler was the unanimous second-team catcher. It is the first Division II nod for Kneubuhler and her third overall as she garnered consecutive first-team honors in 2024 and 2025 as a member of Mt. San Antonio College (Cal JC).
With first and second-team at-large selections, Pitt State shortstop Heather Arnett and East Stroudsburg pitcher Sarah Davenport are three-time All-Americans, the third straight for each student-athlete.
Eleven more student-athletes are two-time All-Americans, nine of which are collecting their second consecutive accolade. Of those nine, McGinnis, Johnson, Kimble and Cal State East Bay pitcher Marissa Quintero are on the first team. Eckerd College’s Hannah Taylor (DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher), Shepherd University pitcher Madalayne Ruffner and University of Central Oklahoma outfielder Rylee Lemos were voted to the second team. Western Washington University third baseman Maleah Andrews and Missouri Southern outfielder Bailey Dillon (at-large) earned third-team status.
Additionally, 39 student athletes are receiving their first-ever NFCA Division II All-America award, which includes Slippery Rock University freshman outfielder (second team at-large), William Jewell College outfielder (second team) and DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher (third team) Kimberly Torres from Felician University as their program’s first NFCA All-Americans.
With her unanimous first-team plaudit, Davis earns the distinction of 2026 Diamond Sports/NFCA Catcher of the Year. The Harrisburg, Ark. native finished her senior season with a .400 batting average and led all Gorillas with 18 doubles, 14 home runs, 82 RBI and a .766 slugging percentage. Her RBI and RBI per game (1.44) each rank third nationally. Davis also scored 50 runs, posted a .488 on-base percentage and notched 70 hits. Behind the dish, she threw out 11 base runners, recorded 292 putouts, 19 assists and a .984 fielding percentage.
Mackenzie Sais, a sophomore outfielder and third-team All-American, was voted the New Balance/NFCA Golden Shoe Award winner. Sais, who hails from Frederick, Colo., also tops the charts averaging 1.25 steals per game and stole a season-high four bases against Montana State Billings and Southeastern Oklahoma. At the plate, Sais led the Ichabods with a .421 average, 75 hits, 48 runs scored and a .507 on-base percentage.
Twelve All-Americans hailing from six programs are representing their teams at the 2026 NCAA Division II Championships, which begins on May 28 at Frost Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The NFCA All-America teams are voted on by the Association’s All-America Committees. In Division II, the committee is comprised of one member head coach from each of the NCAA’s eight regions. All student-athletes who were nominated by a member head coach and voted to the first- or second-team All-Region squads were eligible for All-America consideration.
