LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Thirty-nine student-athletes from 26 different schools have been voted to one of three 2025-26 NFCA High School All-America teams, the Association revealed on Tuesday afternoon.

First-time Kentucky state champion South Warren High topped all programs with four All-Americans — shortstop McLaine Hudson and utility/pitcher Layla Ogden on the first team, third baseman Parker Willoughby on the second team, and outfielder Hadley Borders on the third team. All four are seniors.

Two-time reigning Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year Hudson is headed to Florida State, while Ogden is staying in Bowling Green to play at Western Kentucky, Willoughby will compete at Ohio State and Borders is bound for Missouri. Ogden was a second-team All-American last season.

Meanwhile, 10 other schools had two players each voted to an All-America spot.

2025-26 NFCA High School All-Americans

This is the third straight All-America honor for both Elyria Catholic (Ohio) junior outfielder Jessica Conner and Austintown Fitch (Ohio) junior outfielder Kaliana Ray. Nine others joined Ogden as two-time honorees — Austintown Fitch senior first baseman Abby Toth, Antioch Community (Ill.) senior designated player Samantha Hillner, Barrington (Ill.) senior pitcher Katie Taraschewsky, Calallen (Texas) junior outfielder Kylie Butcher and senior first baseman Braelyn Bailey, Calvary Baptist Academy (La.) senior pitcher Kynzee Anderson, Dripping Springs (Texas) junior catcher Lorelei Gamble, Kenton Ridge (Ohio) sophomore pitcher Ivee Rastatter, and Nonnewaug (Conn.) sophomore third baseman Gianna DeLorenzo.

Region VIII produced the most All-Americans of any geographic area this year with 10, followed closely by Regions V and VI with nine apiece. Regions I, VII and X all had three honorees, while Regions II and IV had one each.

There are 22 seniors, 10 juniors, six sophomores and one freshman across the three All-America squads.

Meanwhile, speedy Plato (Mo.) sophomore third baseman Maci Shalbot scored 2025-26 New Balance/NFCA Golden Shoe honors as high school’s most prolific base stealer. She had 78 stolen bases in 79 attempts (.987 success rate) and averaged 2.23 steals over 35 games for the Eagles this spring. Shalbot set a Missouri State High School Activities Association record with 74 runs scored this season.

Shalbot, a second team All-Region honoree earlier this season, was chosen for the honor in a national vote of member coaches from a ballot that contained the top five All-Region-nominated basestealers.

Kenton Ridge’s (Ohio) Brenna Fyffe is the Diamond Sports/NFCA High School Catcher of the Year after being voted the first-team All-American at that position. In 32 games, she made zero errors in 310 fielding chances behind the plate, while cutting down eight of the 19 runners who attempted to steal on her and picking off two others.

The senior, who is headed to Ohio University in the fall and was named the Johnny Bench Catcher of the Year for the state of Ohio last month, is the state record-holder for most RBI (231) and runs scored (216) for a career, and ranked second in state history for homers in a season with her 24 in 2026 for the two-time reigning state Division IV champion Cougars, who are a perfect 64-0 over the past two seasons.

Voted by member head coaches, the awards honor student-athletes from the 10 NFCA high school regions. All players who received first team All-Region status this year appeared on the All-America ballot.

In order to be eligible for All-Region, student-athletes had to have been nominated by their NFCA-member head coach. All-Region honorees were chosen by a vote of member head coaches in their respective region.
