LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Thirteen student-athletes from eight schools have been named to the NFCA’s 2026 Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) All-America team, the Association announced on Thursday.
Mt. Hood Community College, the top overall seed for this week’s NWAC Softball Championship, led all schools with three recipients. Bellevue, Edmonds and Lower Columbia also had multiple selections, while four others — Clackamas, Southwestern Oregon, Spokane and Walla Walla — garnered one recipient apiece.
Mt. Hood’s All-America trio of first baseman Chloe Mckenzie (.456, 51 R, 17 2B, 7 HR, 63 RBI), third baseman Sadie Guyette (.575, 75 R, 96 H, 23 2B, 24 HR, 128 RBI) and outfielder Serena Hattori (.449, 88 R, 12 2B, 6 3B, 8 HR, 55 RBI, 34 SB) have fueled an 11-game win streak for the (44-6) Saints, who rank in the top three in 17 league statistical categories. Guyette alone leads the NWAC in hits, RBI, total bases (193) and games played (49).
Lower Columbia pitchers Ava Eib (21-2, 1.69 ERA, 15 CG, 7 SHO, 141 IP, 28 BB, 236 K, 11.72 k/7, 0.89 WHIP, .186 BAA) and Zoey Hughes (20-2, 1.79, 4 SHO, 3 SV, 113.1 IP, 32 BB, 163 K, .200 BAA) have been among the league’s elite in the circle. Eib leads the NWAC in wins, ERA, shutouts, opponent batting average, strikeouts, and strikeouts per seven innings, while Hughes ranks first in saves and second in shutouts, ERA and opponent batting average.
Edmond second baseman Scarlette Chapman (.577, 86 R, 17 2B, 3 3B, 27 HR, 104 RBI, 18 BB, 3 K, plus 12-1, 11 CG, 99 K, 7.12 K/7 in the circle) led the NWAC in batting average, homers, on-base percentage (.624) and slugging (1.275), while teammate Aliya Boonsripisal (.444, 68 R, 14 2B, 3 3B, 4 HR, 47 RBI) rounded out the infield selections at shortstop.
Bellevue’s Shannon Tierney (.471, 79 R, 74 H, 22 2B, 11 3B, 8 HR, 79 RBI, 14-14 SB) earned one of the outfield spots, while teammate Allie Barashkoff (.497, 64 R, 71 H, 26 2B, 2 3B, 6 HR, 68 RBI, 25 BB, 7 K, 10 SB) was recognized in the DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher category.
Clackamas’ Brooklyn Van Renselaar (.521, 66 R, 7 2B, 40 RBI, 47-50 SB) claimed the remaining outfield nod, while Spokane’s Cassaundra Seifert (14-5, 3.02 ERA, 3 SV, 12 CG, 125 IP, 57 BB, 189 K, 1.18 WHIP) is the other pitcher, Walla Walla’s Faith Hickman (.489, 60 R, 14 2B, 21 HR, 75 RBI) is the All-America catcher and Southwestern Oregon’s Hadley Hudson (17-2, 18 CG, 121.1 IP, 44 BB, 158 K, plus .440, 48 R, 59 H, 11 2B, 10 HR, 56 RBI, 14 BB, 5 K) garnered the Joan Joyce Utility/Pitcher honor.
